How do I make a booking?
Please use the booking form and fill in each section as thoroughly as possible.
Please allow a few days for me to get back to you and keep an eye on your inbox and spam/junk as they can sometimes fall into there!
A non-refundable deposit of £50 is needed for any booking. This can be made through a bank transfer upon confirmation.
Where are you based and how do I get there?
I’m currently working at The Aviary in Headingley, the address is:
43b Otley Rd, Headingley, Leeds LS6 3AB
How much does a tattoo by you cost?
Prices are based on each piece individually rather than by hour and will be given during the booking process before a deposit is asked for. My minimum is £80 and a day session is £450.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Once an appointment has been arranged I'll need a non refundable deposit paid via bank transfer to confirm the date and time.
I'll usually wait around 24 hours after asking for the deposit and if I've not had a response I'll offer the space out the space to others.
Without a deposit there is no confirmed appointment.
Do you do flash tattoos?
Yes! Please check my instagram for any flash designs you may like.
Please include a photo of the flash piece you'd like.
Can I cancel a booking?
Due to the recent rise in cancellations and rearrangements deposits are non-transferable.
Although I've always tried to be fairly lenient the rise in amount of rescheduling has started having a negative affect on my workload and income.
When booking in please make sure the date and time absolutely works for you, as rearranging will result in a new deposit being needed.
I'll still take exceptional circumstances into account but that will be at my discretion.
How do I care for my tattoo?
If I wrapped your new tattoo with cling film keep it wrapped for 3-4 hours, if I’ve wrapped it with second skin then keep it on for 24-48 hours. During this time it will bleed and release excess ink and can look gross but that’s okay!
To remove the second skin hold it under warm, running water and slowly peel it off. Wash the tattoo with warm water and a simple soap like Carex or Sanex. Something without fragrances and a natural base. Use either your hand or kitchen roll, make sure there’s no residue left on the tattoo.
Once cleaned let it air dry for 15 minutes before apply a really thin layer of moisturiser. Again something simple with a natural base such as Palmers Cocoa Butter, Aveeno or Lush’s Dream Cream.
Repeat the process of cleaning, drying and moisturising 2-3 times a day for around a week. After a week flaking can occur which can be incredibly itchy.
Do not pick and scratch at it, it’s the most common way to get infections and can pull ink out of the tattoo.
Once it’s settled down and no longer flaking reduce the washing and moisturising to once a day. Continue it for a further 2-3 weeks.
For the next 4 weeks:
- Do not pick and scratch the tattoo
- No soaking in baths, swimming pools, the sea etc
- No fake tan or sunburns
- Keep it covered from the sun, UV rays will fade a fresh tattoo
Let me know if you have any questions!
Can you tattoo on darker skin tones?
Yes! Any and all skin tones can be tattooed so everyone is welcome.
Can you tattoo over scars?
Usually the answer is yes, though it does depend on the scars. They need to be healed fully so that the ink doesn't spread through the unhealed scar tissue. Can always have a consultation to have a look and see if it healed enough to tattoo over.
Are your tattoos vegan?
Yes! All the products I use are vegan.
The Aviary
I'm based at The Aviary in Headingley.
It's really accessible by bus or taxi. Or for parking there’s often a few spots on Bennett Road just behind the studio. There’s also paid parking at Headingley Taps which is free for the first hour, 50p an hour after.
The studio entrance is on the main road, look for a yellow door with a bird on it tucked between a nail salon and a barber. Ring the buzzer and we’ll let you in!
